Dumfries and Galloway Inter Faith Group

To mark Scottish Inter Faith Week, Dumfries and Galloway's Local Interfaith Group held a gathering on Saturday 28 November at the Dumfries and Galloway Multicultural Association offices. People from a wide range of faith and belief backgrounds gathered for a chance to learn about each others' faith and life stances. People brought along stories, poems and readings or an object with special spiritual significance to share with others.
Venus Carew, chair of Dumfries and Galloway Interfaith Group, said “I think this event had one of the biggest turnouts we have had in Dumfries and Galloway. It is always surprising to see how many different faiths we have represented here. It is especially good to see us all coming together and sharing our different experiences.”
The local Interfaith
Group has plans for a number of events throughout 2010 and are always looking
for interested people to come along and join in. Email clericalorders@dumgal.gov.uk for
