Celebrations Marking 10 Years of the Scottish Inter Faith Council

civic event was held at Edinburgh City Chambers on Sunday 25th October 2009 to celebrate the 10th Anniversity of the Scottish Inter Faith Council where poems and stories were shared on the theme of Homecoming. A plaque was formally unveiled in January 2010 with a ceremony attended by Council members.

A tree was also planted at St Mungo Museum

International Exchange New York Visit 15th - 25th June 2009

In June I had the great pleasure of travelling to New York with a group of eight delegates from diverse faiths in Scotland on the first part of an ambitious three year exchange programme launched by the Interfaith Centre of New York (ICNY), with the Scottish Inter Faith Council and the UNESCO Centre of Catalonia’s Department for Interreligious Dialogue based in Barcelona. Glasgow was chosen from a number of European cities to participate in this programme in recognition of the extensive inter faith work being undertaken here. We look forward to welcoming a delegation from New York and Barcelona to Glasgow when it is our turn to host the exchange in 2011. Magdalen Lambkin
